PRESS RELEASE

The Muslim Coalition of Connecticut is deeply saddened by the violent events of late last week. We condemn last Thursday's attack on the IRS building in Austin, TX. Terrorism includes forms of violence motivated by religion, political views, and ideology, and the perpetrator in this heinous act was motivated by his anger at this government agency.

The Muslim Coalition of Connecticut, (MCCT), is a nonprofit organization that brings together Muslims in Connecticut to provide an understanding of Islam and Muslims through education and  outreach.  MCCT was formed to seek unity within the Muslim community in Connecticut and through unified efforts provide much needed social support services in the community, foster youth leadership and provide an accurate portrayal of Islam through our works.
